“ The food here was delicious, fresh, and served piping hot. We had veg masala momos (that we dug into before I thought to take a picture), samosa chaat, butter naan, and paneer coconut curry. Everything was delicious, though the coconut curry was heavily coconut flavored without a lot else shining through; don’t expect a south-Indian curry if you get it. The samosas were still crunchy in the chaat, the naan was so good, and the momos were spiced to perfection. I can’t wait to come back and try the chole bhature, eggplant masala, and parathas! ”
“ Amazingly good momo and other Indian and Nepalese foods. Didn't love the garlic naan but everything else including the service was amazing. My chai was great, food was great, I definitely recommend this place. It's nice to see what I think is a non-chain restaurant in the area. My food was "medium" spicy which I would say was a little milder than what I usually expect from this cuisine, but that doesn't mean it didn't have some kick to it! I'll be back here for sure. ”
“ Shopping hard at Goodwill, we got a hankering for something zesty. The meals here were filling. But each of us would have enjoyed more protein. I ordered the Gurkhas Chili Noodle with a level 3 spice, but the server strongly suggested I take a 2 out of 4. My spice tolerance is higher than the average white male, but I took his suggestion and went with a 2. Turns out a 2 is a legit medium. I’ll go 3 next time. Interestingly, the Dahl soup at level 3 was comparable to the noodle dish at a level 2. Novia ordered the Coco Curry, dairy free and mild, with brown rice and a side of steamed veggies. I’ve only ever seen her order Tikka Masala so I was startled at the food choice. She loved it! Lots of GF options. The coconut juice is yummy. You should get some. Prices are reasonable for Boulder, and there’s no alcohol on the menu so it keeps things good and cheap. The service was outstanding, you felt like you were eating in a family restaurant where they were interested in getting to know you. When our bill came, the square reader showed our entire order itemized, not a random total, which was refreshing. We’ll definitely be back. Probably too much. Can you send money for coconut juice? Asking for a friend. Signed, Your Friend, Profesor ”
“ Highly recommend Gurkhas’s for their hospitality and big shout out for their good food. Desi’s living in Boulder do try their rice bowls and their butter naan along with their starters.(try everything on the menu)worth it. This restaurant is like my 2nd home in Cheers ”
“ Loved everything we ordered! Delicious Northern Indian/Himalayan cuisine. The samosas were a good start with a nice spice, the naan was excellent, as was the chicken masala and the chili momos. Friendly service and a nice small cozy restaurant. ”
“ Came here completely by accident. We were on our way to a different restaurant when this one caught our eye and we stopped in. We're so glad we did because it was delicious! The fresh garlic naan was to die for. Service was great, the chicken Korma was delicious as well as the dumplings we ordered. The food is a bit undersalted so keep that in mind. Will definitely be back! ”
“ Chef’s Menu is the best. All food has authentic taste of Nepal. Taste of timur momo was amazing.if you don’t believe then You can see my post then make a decision to get some yummy Nepalese food. Definitely I will highly recommend this place. ”
“ The fam is visiting town and got a recommendation from a friend in the area to check out Gurkhas. We are so glad we dropped in because it was an excellent place with friendly wait staff and wonderful food. We ordered the chili noodles with lamb, kothey momo, and chicken tikki masala. My wife and I both LOVED the Szechuan style chili noodles. We had it at spice level 4 out of 5. It was perfect. I was a huge fan of the pork kothey momo which was folded like a soup dumpling (no soup) and nicely fried on the bottom. My son ate the chicken tikki masala, which was ok... a little too sweet for us. Nonetheless, a great experience. Definitely grows our love for Nepalese cuisine. ”
